Excerpt from the program:
Adieux, is like a collection of choreographic novels. It is composed of a man’s solo: L’oreille du sourd, a duet for two men: Marcel, a trio for a woman and two men: Adieu* and a men’s group work: L’arbre fou.
Each piece follows the other in a colorful and light ridden space that transforms in front of our eyes. The dancers are the masters of these spacial changes. As they manipulate the set, they allow for light, space and time to transform.
Two different casts share this complex universe. Adieux is an homage to the performer, a celebration of the authenticity, the humanity and the artistic contribution that he brings to the work.
